Privacy Policy for HeyChoosy
HeyChoosy is built so you can browse, create, and vote on polls with as little friction as possible. The things we store are meant to make the app work better for you, not make it harder to use.
Effective April 20, 2026
What we store for your benefit
We keep only the basics needed to make polls work smoothly, remember your place, and let you come back without starting over.
- Poll activity. Your poll, vote, or comment is saved so the result can be shown back to you and to other people who open the poll later.
- Guest identity. We give you a lightweight guest ID so you can keep voting and posting without creating a traditional account.
- Browser storage. Your browser may remember drafts and recent activity so you do not lose work if you step away and come back later.
- Basic technical details. We receive routine request information so the site loads, stays stable, and can keep your polling session working.
How that helps you
- So your poll can actually appear and collect votes.
- So your previous choices and drafts are still there when you return.
- So voting stays quick, reliable, and consistent across devices.
- So we can improve the parts of HeyChoosy that people use most.
Browser storage, in plain English
Browser storage lets HeyChoosy feel snappier and remember useful things like drafts, so you do not have to type everything again. You can clear that storage from your browser settings whenever you want.
Technical basics
HeyChoosy runs on standard web hosting infrastructure. Routine technical information may be processed when you load pages or vote, but it is only used to deliver the app and is not shown publicly.
Your choices
You can clear local browser storage, stop using the site, or choose not to create polls if you want to keep things completely minimal.
How long things stay
Polls, votes, and comments may stay available while they are useful to people using HeyChoosy. Browser-cached data stays on your device unless you clear it yourself.
